Descriere job
You would be required to manage a children’s home for children and young people aged 8-18 years. The client group may present complex emotional, social behavioural and psychological problems including deliberate self-harm, major family breakdown and histories of abuse etc. Children and young people may also have mild learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorders.
Role
Your role a home manager includes amongst others:
- To engage with children and their families, consulting them on their needs
- Ensuring the home meets agreed income and expenditure targets is delivered within the financial plan.
- Ensure the home meets and exceeds the standards required by Ofsted, as detailed in the Children’s Homes Regulations 2001.
- Directly manage all care staff through Senior Therapeutic Care Workers, ensuring their required supervision and professional development.

Cerinte
Social Work or directly relevant qualification. Ideally a qualification at level 4 NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) in management (or similar qualification). Significant experience working with children and young people with behavioural difficulties in residential settings in a senior role. Excellent English required. -

Salary £26,500 – £30,000 (+bonus)
Location Cardiff
