    Position: Mechanical Craftsman

    Starting date: ASAP

    Time of the project: 1year

    Working place: South East England (40 minutes from London)

    Working hours/week: Monday - Friday (rotation basis) - 12 hours shift

    Overtime: yes

    Day’s off: 2 days per week

    Salary/hour: the employer will fixed the salary depending on training, skills and salary expectations of each candidate. For this reason it is important to mention in your CV the salary that is desirable for you.

    Job Description:

    The vacancies are for experienced mechanical craftsmen/fitters to work both day and continuous 12 hour based shift patterns within the Maintenance Department.

    Both days and continuous 12-hr based shift patterns within our Maintenance Department require completion of recognized craft apprenticeships or engineering qualifications with subsequent experience gained in a medium/heavy industrial environment. Ideally this would be within the steel industry, but this is not essential. Shift vacancies require excellent diagnostic skills and multi-skilling capability as well as the ability to work as part of a process driven team.

    Mechanical craftsmen will need experience of:- Gearboxes and drive systems; lubrication systems; hydraulics; high speed rotating equipment; cranes and pneumatics.
